It's The Little Things: Bittersweet

Hello Hue Little Things

1) Celebrating my mom's birthday with a family lunch, homemade cake (made by me), and bowling/playing in the video game arcade.

2) Taking a walk through the gorgeous gardens at the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach.

3)  Shopping at Lilly Pulitzer with my girl:

4)  Visiting with my grandparents on Sunday morning.  My grandfather has been in ill health for the past month.  Tuesday 11/6/12 was their 71st wedding anniversary.  Such an amazing, beautiful accomplishment.  Here's the bittersweet:  my grandpa passed away that evening in his sleep.  I'm grateful I was able to visit him only a couple of days before and speak to him that evening.

5)  Browsing all the fun Christmas decor at Hobby Lobby today.  Also, Chick-Fil-A for lunch!

  3. Hey Monica! I love that area of Florida, I spent a good bit of time there years ago and absolutely loved it.
I love the cake you made for your mom, I love strawberries.
I'm so sorry about your grandfather, I know how painful that is.
Here's to wishing you a great weekend. All the Best.

  4. That cake looks yummy! Is that strawberry frosting/buttercream?

So sorry to hear about your grandpa! I'm glad you got to see him, though. I'm also glad you got to be with your family, too.
