Today I am linking up with Lindsay from Aisle to Aloha for a "It's the Little Things!" link up party. The idea behind the party is simple: to focus on and document the little things from our week that leave us feeling blessed. No matter how small they may be.
Saturday, Sept 3rd: First Gator football game of the year! The Gators beat FAU 41-3 at their home opener. My little cheerleader had a blast following along with all the cheering.
Enjoying a beer with my hubby. Despite what the glass says it was a Kona Longboard Island lager.
Sunday afternoon, we went to the park after a trip to the pet store to play ball with Summer, our Sheltie on her 6th birthday.
No trip to the park would be complete without some rock climbing and a smile!
Rainbow Roll
Shrimp Tempura roll
Labor Day sushi dinner with friends.
After dinner stroll
Practicing with my brand new dSLR camera!
Puppy lovin'
Watching my little tapper in her classes each week.
Bunny balloon animal @ Kid's Eat Free night!
The peacock tutu I am working on for my daughter's Halloween costume.
These pictures are a mix from my iPhone, Instagram, and my new Canon dSLR camera. I am brand new to photography so I hope to learn a lot and show improvement. Any tips or must read tutorials? We had a nice, lazy Labor Day weekend and I am so looking forward to the upcoming one. Do you have anything fun going on this weekend? We will be going to a 30th birthday "treats" party, getting our free Chick-Fil-A breakfast, watching Gator football, and waiting on a new refrigerator to be delivered!
Thanks Lindsay for the link up party! I'm looking forward to visiting everyone's blogs and learning more about each of you.
Thanks for linking up, Monica! I LOVE Kona Longboard too! Great list!
ReplyDeleteHopping over from the linkup party. Nice to meet you, Monica! Shrimp Tempura rolls are my absolute FAVORITE kind of sushi! :)
ReplyDeleteOH! I was also going to say that I lived in Orlando for 9 years of my childhood. Florida has a huge piece of my heart. Very jealous that you live there. ;)
ReplyDelete@ Moriah-Florida is an awesome place to live. I am on the east coast and we head to Orlando often to shop and meet up with friends. I hope to take my daughter on her first trip to Disney later this month.
ReplyDeleteHi! Stopping by from Aisle to Aloha's linky party! Such fun pictures! I recently just got a DSLR camera too and am having so much fun trying to learn all the tricks it can do!
ReplyDeleteStopping over from Aisle to Aloha. Can I just tell you how cute your daughter is? And I love Shelties. If I could ever have a dog {allergic. boo.} that is the kind of dog I would get. Look forward to reading more about you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit from the link-up. Great list! In response to your question: We just moved from IL to NY for me to study Computer Science (Algorithmic Game Theory) at RPI.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the link up party! I am also hoping to improve on my photography skills through this link-up! My poor DSLR is mostly on auto... all.the.time! I pin tutorials over on pinterest (http://pinterest.com/TheYoungRetiree/photographia/) and have been looking over several great tutorials. I can't wait to get out this weekend and practice with manual. I don't think they'll be good enough to show just yet, but I want to get there!
ReplyDeleteI love the tutu you are working on! I can't wait to see the full costume!
Yay for a beer with the hubby & a new camera! :) Jumping over from the linkup party. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat list & fun photos!! I also need to learn to use my camera!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Lord. Look at that tutu!!!!! I wish I was young again... Adorable!!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than relaxing with a good beer and some sushi (probably not at the same time, but whatever... haha)

Sushi is my favourite food <3
ReplyDeleteYour girl is so cute especially the photo of her in tap class. I bet she's an amazing dancer Xx
Linking in at last and your post is making me hungry! Sushi love! I'm new-ish to photography too and want to encourage you to do two things: read your Canon manual (that coming from a tactile learner who never reads manuals) and take zillions of photos - even the pros dump most and keep few! xo
